The weather may not have been in our favour, yet the Darling Harbour Sydney set up for Mt Dew Battle for Supremacy II had Australias top 20 skaters amped enough that this set the mood to ensure the day was not dampened.
What had the skaters excited was that the event site was set in one of the countrys most well-known street spots. Its features amplified through a range of additional structures, including a steep ledge, picnic tables, road barriers, wedges and a double set of stairs.
The up-side is…there will still be a winner of the Sydney Mt Dew Battle for Supremacy, with a re-match event date and location to be announced shortly.

Slam magazine’s annual SKATER OF THE YEAR award happens this February! The concept is… you vote for your favorite skaters and from that comes a compiled list of the top 20 Australian skaters. These skaters then get together at the Skater of the Year Awards night and vote among themselves in a “PEER” poll to decide the winner. Skaters voting for skaters, who then again vote for skaters. Voting has already begun so hook up your top picks today!

A couple of weeks ago, we introduced to some of the first images of the Nike’s latest collaboration from the Agenda trade-show, the P.Rod collection (missed the post? here’s the vid) . Now images of Nike SB’s 2010 collection continue to flood sneaker freaker’s in-boxes as both skaters & collectors alike rapidly rub their hands together in anticipation of the first drop of Nike SB’s to hit shelf’s in 2010.

For the sixth year running, the infamous shores of Bondi Beach will play
host to VANS BOWL-A-RAMA, not only the biggest concrete event in the
Southern Hemisphere, but now the biggest week of festivities to hit Bondi, Saturday 20th February.
Boasting a rumored line of some of the most legendary skateboarders of our
time including: Bucky Lasek, Omar Hassan, Steve Caballero, Christian Hosoi,
Bob Burnquist, Rune Glifberg, Pat Ngoho, Otavio Neto, Jackson Pilz, Juergen
Horrwarth, Renton Miller and Corbin Harris; this year is set to be bigger
than any other as Bowl-A-Rama launch their week of festivities leading up to the competition.
